SBX Camp 2020 Wildcard Competition

The SBX Camp is an 8 day educational experience that will level up your beatboxing like never before! Learning from the best beatboxers and vocal musicians in the world, you will be pushed beyond your limits to become the best beatboxer you can possibly be. Every day there will be jams, battles, and showcases, as well as after-parties.

For the first time in the history of SBX Camp, you have the chance to win a scholarship by participating in our wildcard competition.

Below you can find all information on how to participate and qualify for the SBX Camp 2020 Showcase or Female 7 to Smoke battle, which will be held in Crakow, Poland at the SBX Camp. All further information regarding SBX Camp will be announced in the coming months.

Competition info

• There are two wildcard categories: Showcase and Female 7 to Smoke.
• Wildcard competition opens for registration from 00:00 CET on the 1st February until 23:59 CET on the 29th February 2020.
• Note that it might take up to 48hours until your wildcard has been reviewed and published on the website. We’ll notify you by email (if provided).
• Winner announcement on the 10th of March.
• Wildcard winners will receive a full scholarship to SBX Camp 2020, inc. food and accommodation.
• Wildcard entries will be judged by the SBX team (Pepouni, Sinjo, Madox, & Chezame).

Showcase Battle

The Showcase battle will consist of 6 solo beatboxers from around the world battling on stage at the SBX Camp 2020 in a showcase format. Each artist will perform a 10 minute showcase, with the best 2 battling face to face over 3 rounds in normal battle format.

Rules for Showcase wildcards

• Open to beatboxers of all ages and nationalities.
• Participants must perform a 10 min showcase at SBX Camp 2020, with the top two finalists battling face to face over 3 rounds.
• 3 minutes long.
• Open the video with “My name is [artist name] from [nationality] and this is my wildcard video for the 2020 SBX Camp Showcase wildcard competition.”
• Upload to YouTube, then register your video by clicking below and filling out all the required information.

Female 7 to Smoke Battle

The Female 7 to Smoke battle will consist of 8 solo female beatboxers from around the world battling on stage at the SBX Camp 2020 in a 7 to Smoke format.

Rules for Female 7 to Smoke wildcards

• Open to all Female beatboxers.
• 8 female beatboxers will be selected.
• 2 minutes long.
• Open the video with “My name is [artist name] from [nationality] and this is my wildcard video for the 2020 SBX Camp Female 7 to Smoke wildcard competition.”
• Upload to YouTube, then register your video by clicking below and filling out all the required information.
